Our Story
Our Shared Voice

I’m Naima Said Ali, founder and host of Somali Voices, a podcast rooted in my lived experiences and dedication to truth, healing, and collective growth. With a background in Journalism and Mass Communication from Sharda University and Public Policy Analysis at the London School of Economics, my journey has taken me from international organizations to Somali institutions, where I often had to prove my worth beyond stereotypes. Through this path, I’ve learned that our presence itself is powerful—that we don’t need to overperform to be respected. Somali Voices was created as a platform for honest conversations, cultural healing, and leadership, amplifying the wisdom and courage of Somali women, men, and youth alike. It is more than a podcast—it is a mission, a space for growth, truth, and choosing ourselves, together.
